over 40 years we walked side by side, 

I never mentioned I was full of pride.

To be your friend, buddy and mate,

Who was to know this was our fate.

We travelled the world from top to toe,

And laughed all day long as the booze would flow.

From Hong Kong,Singapore to Melbourne and on,

opononi was special with the Kiwis from London. 

The menu was read as rule of thumb,

The food was all planned before we,d begun.

Santander should not be forgotten.,

Cause the wine and olives all tasted rotten.

And now it's time to say goodnight.,

To our best mate who's lost his light.

The flame still burns bright, it will never fade,

Cause we can look back at memories made.
